Laugh and learn (and "quack") by land and sea during 40-minute tours aboard amphibious vehicles (crafted from the WWII DUKWs) that take visitors on a narrated sightseeing ride highlighting some of Northern Kentucky and Cincinnati's most impressive landmarks. Then splash down and cruise the Ohio River exploring the historic waterfronts of Newport, Covington and Cincinnati. Ticket booth located outside the Newport Aquarium.

Over 120,000- square-foot facility located on the banks of the Ohio River, just across from downtown Cincinnati. Specially designed underwater tunnels will bring you face-to-face with sharks and other marine life. The recently remodeled theater now features Shark Ray Bay, which provides an awe-inspiring view of the giant shark tank and the aquarium’s four, extremely rare Shark Rays, Sweet Pea, Scooter, Sunshine and Spike. Guests can pet the sharks. Open 365 days a year, 10 am to 6 pm during fall and winter; 9 am to 7 pm from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Ride Horses at First Farm Inn
Come ride the friendly and colorful horses at First Farm Inn, just off I-275 in Western Boone County. Riding can be a magical experience for kids. Learning to control a 900 to 1300 pound animal and sitting nearly 6 feet off the ground can be a real thrill. The two-hour riding experience begins with grooming, tacking up and learning about horses before you mount and begin riding in the arena. After your comfortable with your horse, we ride around the farm and through the woods visiting neighboring cows and goats. A respect for animals, good listening skills and a significant attention span are necessary to enjoy the riding experience.

The Rosemary Clooney House Museum

Thanks to the generous efforts of Dr. Steve Henry, former Lt. Governor of Kentucky, and his wife Heather French Henry, Miss America 2000, Rosemary Clooney's historical home has been restored. The home is open to the public as a museum displaying an extensive collection of exhibits in honor of this legendary singer's life and career.

Whitehall Plantation Museum

Built in 1809 by Arthur Thome, Whitehall is listed on the national register as a part of the Underground Railroad. This private home features exquisite gardens, and rare antique furniture. The highlights include gorgeous parlor sets by the revolutionary furniture maker, John Henry Belter, as well as pieces by the famous artisan, Mitchell Rammelsburg. The 1811 Augusta Jail

The 1811 Augusta Jail is the oldest jail in the state of Kentucky on its original foundation. The 1st floor, the prisoner's quarters, have been restored and is open to the public. The second story, the jailer's living quarters, is currently being renovated and will be open soon. One may take a self-guided tour of the dungeon and the debtor's portions of the jail. There are many interesting stories about this jail. It is a must see for anyone interested in the history of Augusta.

The Guild's Mission Statement: "The Augusta Art Guild is an organization of artists who believe there are many visual, emotional and educational experiences that can only be perceived through the arts. The Guild feels it is important that our community be a part of that process in order to expand and enrich lives."
The City of Augusta is please to have such an organization of artists displaying their work in the city. The Guild hosts their annual "Art in the Garden" on the first Saturday in June.
