Williamstown Derby Day
The City of Williamstown began a Derby Day Festival to celebrate the Kentucky Derby. Derby Day is held the first Saturday in May on Main Street in Williamstown. The “Old fashioned, country heritage” festival features live entertainment, music, food, crafts, authentic Kentucky artisans, contests, carnival rides, a truck/car show and petting zoo. U.S. 25 Yard Sale
In 2012, the City of Williamstown, along with Judy Wiggington, a volunteer, began organizing a yard sale that would stretch from Cincinnati to Florida, along U.S. 25. Grant County Fair
The Grant County Fair draws hundreds of visitors to Grant County each summer. The 2013 Grant County Fair held the last weekend in July to August is held at the fairgrounds on Northern Kentucky Fairgrounds on Baton Rouge Road in Williamstown. The event features carnival rides and games, food booths, tractor pulls, beauty contests, horse shows and live entertainment.

Heritage Days
This annual event is family-oriented and includes light and heavy weight horse pulls, contest horses and a fun show with an obstacle course. An Antique Tractor Show and Pull are also part of the festival celebrating the history of the working horse. Held Mid-September. More information on Heritage Day is available at

Paddle Williamstown “Kayaks and Canoes in the Country”

Sponsored by the City of Williamstown, this event was created the summer of 2011 to showcase our beautiful Lake Williamstown. The lake, which is the largest in Northern Kentucky, closes from 7am to 1pm to motorized traffic so that canoe and kayakers and paddle boaters can enjoy the water in a competitive spirit with canoe/kayak racing events, Poker Paddle as well as dragon boat races. There is something for everyone! Plan on making the trip an overnight stay, you won’t want to miss the kickoff party! The Free Concert at the Williamstown Marina is a collaboration of G.C.
